Playwork Inspired Learning: A New Approach to Play in the Early Years

We all want children to be able to play more, and with this brand-new approach to early years, you will learn how to bring a quality play to your setting whilst ensuring children are learning. However, in contrast to current trends in play, this approach is more holistic and naturally developed with the child at the forefront of their learning. Play is play and learning should be the by-product of this.
This book will equip you with deeper psychological knowledge based on Playwork theory- where you leave play to the players, and as early years practitioners, we get to witness the magic.
*I wrote this book during the lockdown of 2020, and bang on cue of almost finishing, the DfE released details of the new early year's framework. Currently, it is not entirely clear when it will be released, but this book is written based on the Developmental Matters (EE, 2012) and the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (DfE, 2017).
